Concept:
A three to six person group of loud, deep-voiced six-foot tall trick-or-treaters. They're all half dressed in lazy, unoriginal costumes, going house to house, asking for free candy. They are all aged between fifteen and nineteen, at least a decade older than most of the other children out that night.
Concept:
Those same teenagers, coming home from a busy day at school on Halloween. All of them are either the younger siblings, with their brothers and sisters off at college, or are the only child. By the time they finish their homework, it is evening. They look outside and notice the trick-or-treaters are already out, and get hit with a wave of bittersweet nostalgia. One of them gets an idea and calls the others up. He tells them to grab whatever they can use for a costume and to 'get your lazy asses to my house asap'. They help each other get into whatever last minute costumes they can manage, and hurry outside with the pillow cases from his bedroom. They have an amazing time and forget for a few hours that they're not exactly happy with their lives.

I really wish people would stop judging teenagers for trick-or-treating.
We're really just big, dumb, and scared kids being forced to grow up more quickly than what we feel is comfortable. We're insecure enough as-is without adults telling us that we're too old to do things that we enjoy. some of us weren't allowed to do it when we were the 'correct' age because of strict parents, and never got the chance to celebrate until we were way older. This is my last year that I'll be able to get away with it.
I hope It will be good.
